Dr. Esther and Enrico Sobong Scholarship

This scholarship will assist students with financial need who are non-traditional students with unique pathways to education including child/family responsibilities, re-entry to college after some significant time away, or exceptional life circumstances due to employment or other challenges.

  • Candidates must be a non-traditional student; which is a student with unique pathways to education including child/family responsibilities, re-entry to college after some significant time away, or exceptional life circumstances due to employment or other challenges.
  • May be enrolled part-time or full-time in the Kirkhof College of Nursing in the Masters/Doctoral program or in the RN to BSN program
  • Candidates must be admitted to The Kirkhof College of Nursing
  • Candidates who have previously earned undergraduate or graduate degrees shall be eligible to apply for this scholarship
  • Preference will be given to candidates and renewing recipients who demonstrate financial need as defined by government programs by annually filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Renewal Criteria: Scholarships will be renewed without reapplication for up to 5 semester provided the recipient continues to meet the eligibility requirements. Must be making satisfactory academic progress according to the norms established by the University
