Bill and Diana Wipperfurth Annis Water Resources Institute Student Research Scholarship

This scholarship is established to provide educational opportunities to students who are interested in water resources. For this scholarship, the student will be involved in academic research activities under the supervision of faculty or staff at AWRI.

  • Must be entering their Junior or higher undergraduate or graduate level work with a minimum of 55 earned credits
  • Must be currently involved in academic activities at the Lake Michigan Center and under the supervision of faculty and staff at the AWRI of GVSU
  • Must be enrolled full time as a degree seeking student
  • Must have a 2.75 or higher cumulative grade point average and making satisfactory academic progress according to the norms established by the University
  • Demonstration of financial need as defined by filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is not required, however indication and explanation of financial need on the application may be considered during selection

Renewal Criteria: Non-renewable

The recipient of the scholarship is expected to participate on AWRI projects an average of 10 hours per week for 15 weeks during the Fall semester. For more information about AWRI, please visit our web site
