Carl Erickson and Mary O'Neill Pathway Scholarship
The purpose of this scholarship is to help widen the pathway to graduation for senior engineering, computer science, and nursing students from middle income families who do not qualify for federal need-based aid and are ineligible for many of the government programs intended to help defray the costs of tuition and fees. Support from the Grand Valley community will impact the University’s highest priority and help students from middle income families to avoid indebtedness, achieve their goals, and become fully engaged citizens.
To be eligible, recipients of this scholarship must:
- Be accepted for or currently enrolled at Grand Valley State University (GVSU)
- Be an undergraduate student entering their final year before graduation
- Be enrolled full-time (12 credit hours or more) in engineering, computer science, or nursing
- Be making satisfactory academic progress (SAP) according to the norms established by the University and the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships
Financial need shall be demonstrated by the completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Renewal Criteria: This scholarship is not renewable.
