Green Family First Generation College of Education Scholarship

This scholarship was created to encourage and assist students pursuing careers in education who are the first in their family to earn a four-year degree.

  • Recipients must be accepted for or currently enrolled at GVSU
  • Must be an undergraduate junior or senior and enrolled for 12 credit hours or more in the College of Education
  • Must have a cumulative 2.8 GPA or higher
  • Must be identified on their admissions application as students who are the first in their family (First Generation) to earn a four-year degree

Financial need may be considered, and shall be demonstrated by the completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Renewal Criteria: Non-renewable
