Nancy K. Mack
The Nancy K. Mack & Katherine Klemit Mack Memorial Scholarship was established in 2012 by Dr. Nancy K. Mack and was revised in 2015 to continue the memory of her mother, and best friend, Katherine Klemit Mack.
Dr. Nancy K. Mack was born in Illinois and lived in Illinois, Texas, California, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania before moving to Michigan to join Grand Valley State University in 2001. Dr. Mack received her PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is an elementary certified teacher. In Austin, TX she taught 7th grade mathematics and taught mathematics education courses at three universities prior to joining Grand Valley State University. Dr. Mack is interested in children’s thinking about mathematics about teaching methods in elementary school.
Dr. Mack and her mother, Katherine Klemit Mack, shared a passion for education and lifelong learning. Katherine Klemit Mack was an educator who taught high school science, primarily physics and physical science, for more than thirty years in Illinois and Austin, Texas.
