Dr. Carol '12 and Douglas Robinson

Dr. Carol ‘12 and Douglas Robinson established this scholarship in honor of Linda Scott Ph.D., RN, Former professor and associate dean for graduate programs at the Kirkhof College of Nursing. Dr. Scott, an accomplished health care leader, was instrumental in assisting Dr. Robinson on her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) journey at Grand Valley State University (GVSU). Dr. Scott’s sound practice, advocacy, and encouragement helped ensure a meaningful graduate student experience. Importantly, Dr. Scott provided information on graduate student assistantships, without which it would have been hard for Dr. Robinson, a non-traditional student, to complete her DNP degree. Dr. Robinson holds Dr. Scott in highest regard not only for her compassion, wisdom, advocacy, and sense of humor, but also for her longstanding reputation for excellence in nursing leadership. Dr. Robinson respects her as a fellow nurse who overcame many obstacles to obtain her degrees in the nursing profession.
